ETHNOGRAPHIC DESIGN TRIP

This trip was planned three years as the Great Earthquake in Tohoku area (Japan) in 2011 happened. During 6 days trip, we explored the damaged region and visited former villages. Through table research, field research, interview sessions with local citizens we analyzed current problems. The project was aimed to work on problems, that appear in local post-earthquake communities.

POLAR URAL, RUSSIA 2012

This ethnographic trip took place during the M.A. course at School of Arctic Design. During the 10 day trip, we aimed to see places, feel the climate and just be in the region, that we studied during the M.A. It was also important to meet nomadic tribes Nentsi, who are coming in this region with their deers during the summer season. We had a chance to conduct interviews and take photo materials.
